ALEXANDRIA – U.S. Senate Candidate and two-time Purple Heart Recipient Daniel Gade joined a panel of veterans on Fox News and called on President Trump to reward the Purple Heart to the K9 involved in killing the ISIS leader. The K9, Conan, cornered, subdued and helped deliver justice to ISIS’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, before being wounded by al-Baghdadi’s suicide vest.
“I do have a message for the President,” said Gade. “Mr. President, if you are watching this morning, I brought one of my own Purple Hearts to present to the dog if you’d like me to do so or if you’d like me to get this to you I can. These dogs are heroic.”

ALEXANDRIA - Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Gade, PhD., announced today that his campaign exceeded its $100,000 quarterly fundraising goal in just six weeks. In total, the campaign raised over $138,000 from 430 individual contributions.
"I am humbled by the level of the support I have received in such a short amount of time,“ stated Gade. “Every dollar was hard earned and we will use them to make a change for Virginia. We had over 300 donors who contributed less than $200. This is a reflection of the grassroots support we are building around the Commonwealth. Virginians know that DC does not need any more career politicians."

Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia will be seeking reelection next year. Many consider him a prohibitive favorite. However, Warner nearly lost in 2014, and might lose this time around if the GOP has a good year.
But defeating Warner requires a strong Republican challenger. Until recently, such a challenger was lacking. Scott Taylor, a former congressman, who entered the race in July does not fit that description for the reasons I set forth here.
Now, a strong challenger has entered the race. He’s Daniel Gade.
